Hello everyone! It's Natalia here today with an autumnal card featuring the wonderful Canned die set from The Greetery and the Wild Wetlands florals.
I was in the mood to create a rusty orange can as the base of my card for this project and combine it with darker tones as a nod to the darker evenings that are creeping in.
To get the look I wanted, I inked darker orange ink over the C9 Clementine can base (also splattered with the same rusty orange ink), and used C9 Spiced Cider cardstock for the inner border of the can to contrast against the darker rim.
I splattered a piece of C9 Rainforest card with red gold paint before attaching it behind the can lid (also stamped with Ciao Bella Borders details in rusty orange at the top corners).
Once the can base was dry, I decorated it with some stamped accents from the Something Fishy Sentiments set.
Before cutting any more can details, I reached for the Wild Wetlands die set to create the floral spray.
I cut the foliage base from C9 Pistachio card so that I could use different tones of mossy ink to create contrasting green tones for the stems and leaves.
The flowers and buds were also cut from lighter scraps of cardstock so that I could blend darker ink tones over them.
The Canned die makes it easy to tuck florals in behind another piece of card (like the fern panel stamped with more Ciao Bella Borders), so I simply snipped the Wild Wetlands elements apart to feature the bits I wanted to use and arrange them a little differently.
Before attaching the assembled can lid to the orange base, I splattered it liberally with light gold paint and covered the join with the rolled foil lid detail.
Finally, I just needed to add a sentiment from the Laid Back Basics set stamped on C9 Ivory card, finished off with scroll elements from the Canned die set.
