I've got a card to share today that I actually made for Natalia on our Design Team and now that she has it I can share it! She does lovely cards with lots of layers so I wanted to try and do my version of layers to send to her.
I started with a base layer in lilac card using the gorgeous detailed background die from Concord and 9th that comes in the Pumpkin Prints Stamp and Die Kit. I cut the card to my base card size and used a corner rounder to soften the corners.
Next came a whole heap of dies from our Gummiapan range. I started with a rectangle cut from the Old Rectangles Nesting Die cut using patterned paper and again with the rounded corners.
My next layer is the brand new Large Worn Tag Die which is great for a layer on a card but also perfect for quick gift tags too.
For my focal image layer I used 3 dies - the Old Butterfly which I cut from a scrap of grungy patterned paper and used a navy pen to colour the body, Garden Cosmos flower cut from white card and coloured with copics with a yellow enamel dot centre, and finally topped off with the newly released Old Leaves Die cut from green card. Just by switching up what you die cut gives you lots of different looks and textures.
To finish the card, I added a sentiment using the Happy Birthday on a Thread die cut from Matte Gold card and added some pink enamel dots to the circles in the corners of the die cut pattern on the base layer.
Not quite Nat level of layering - but I'm pretty pleased with the results (and she liked it too!)
