I'm a bit of a last minute Christmas crafter so this is quite early for me to make a seasonal card but these tree dies from Altenew are just so inviting with all their different shapes and styles.....
I had a vision of a group of pastel coloured trees and a snow bank so that's what I tried to create with this set. I'm usually a traditional 'green and red Christmas' kind of girl but it's good to branch (see what I did there ;) into contemporary colours, especially with funky shaped trees like these! I played around with colours and layered shapes until I was happy with the combination then used a landscape die to make a scooped snowbank on a plain card panel. I added a custom sentiment and arranged four of the trees behind the panel.
I used a stencil, similar to this one, along with Texture Paste to make a snowy scene onto the base card and then used foam dimensionals to place the trees on top, to finish off I added a slim blue tree onto the foreground and gave it a few glittery baubles to make it stand out from the others. That's the first one done... quite a few more to go!!
Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
