Jen here today and I'm using some fun penguin sets from Mama Elephant... The Penguin's Waddle and Little Penguin Agenda... for a couple of cute Christmas cards.
I started by stamping the penguins from both sets onto white alcohol ink friendly card stock before colouring them in with alcohol markers. I kept the colouring really simple as I was planning on using patterned paper on the cards.
On the first card I cut a panel from the Cool Collab paper pad from MFT and mounted it onto black card stock for a thin border. I added this vertically onto an A2 card base. After colouring the image I trimmed down the panel and added some distress oxide with a blending brush lightly at the top before adding the snowflakes and sentiment for some extra interest. I then mounted this panel onto black card stock and added it to the base.
On the second card I did the same thing but used a mini slimline card base and added the sentiment from the Occasion Labels set after I had put the card together.
I think these are fun cards perfect for children and there are a few of the Mama Elephant sets that would be perfect for them.
