Hello, Terri here! Today I am sharing a retirement card, can you believe I've never made one before! I'll be using products from Waffle Flower Crafts, along with ink and embellishments from other companies.
I started by cutting the A2 Piercing Sunburst Die with an A2 piece of 110lb white cardstock. I love the pattern this die gives and the impression is so deep too. I then used the Sunburst Stencil to add ink in Citrus Burst and Mountain Mist ink - both of which are Altenew inks. The cool thing about this stencil is that you ink in one colour, clean your stencil, flip it over and ink in the second colour. The flipped stencil masks the first colour, allowing for perfect dual inking. I added some sparkly splatters using the Stardust Stickles from Lawn Fawn.
I used the Retirement Sentiments Combo to stamp and die cut my chosen sentiments. The main sentiments was cut 4 times and layered for added dimension. Once the splatters were dry, I trimmed the ink blended panel to measure 4 by 5.25 inches and adhered it to a white A2 card base. I added the sentiments to the centre of the Sunburst with liquid adhesive.
I felt like the card needed some movement, so chose to use the Postage Collage Garden Critters to add 3 dragonflies. I cut them twice, colouring one layer for the base and adding a white layer over the top and then the body. This gives lots of dimension. Lastly I added a few Dew Drops from Pinkfresh Studios and a little glitter glue to the bodies of the dragonflies.
