Aloha!
I really do wish I was saying hello from Hawaii right now. I mean come on, first week of the summer holidays and the sunshine up north has vanished, typical!
So I thought I would make my own sunshine and brighten my week with a couple of cards using Avery Elle Tropical Bouquet clear stamp set. This is such a cute set and packs a tropical fruit punch with the flower and leaf options.
On this first card I used all the leaves and the bird of paradise stamp along with the largest Hibiscus flower. I did a little bit of two tone inking on the flowers, which adds a beautiful realistic touch. I added the sentiment on a strip of card & adhered it with foam adhesive for some added interest and dimension.
For my second card I created a bouquet of Hibiscus blooms and tropical leaves.
This time I kept the flowers and leaves flat colour with no ink blending. I arranged them to the lower right of my card to create a bouquet and added the Aloha sentiment.
If time had allowed me I could have quite happily played with this set for longer and created some fun all over backgounds. Such a happy and cheerful little stamp set!!
