Hey, Terri here! I’m so excited to share a superhero-themed card with you today. Recently, I spent some time creating a batch of bunnies in costumes using the Lawn Fawn Build-A-Bunny Die and Build-A-Critter More Costumes Die sets. My plan is to turn them into a little mini-series of bunny cards, and today I’m sharing the second one in the collection.
For this card, I started by die cutting all of the bunny body parts from white cardstock with the Build-A-Bunny Die. I ink blended them with beige ink, adding soft pink accents for the features. For the superhero outfit, I used the Build-A-Critter More Costumes Die dies and cut the pieces from classic red and blue cardstock. After adhering everything together, I finished the bunny with white gel pen highlights—how cute is this little superhero?
For the background, I ink blended sky-blue ink over white cardstock using the Sunray Background Stencil. After removing the stencil, I lightly brushed more ink across the whole panel for a soft, glowing effect. I added a strip of yellow cardstock along the bottom to ground the scene, then die cut the entire piece with the largest Small Stitched Rectangle Stackable Die die for a clean, stitched border.
Next, I cut the word HERO from red cardstock with the Oliver's Stitched ABCs Die and adhered it onto the yellow section. For the first part of my sentiment, I stamped with the Henry Jrs ABCs Stamp set in deep blue ink—softer than black, but still bold.
Before adding the bunny, I splattered metallic yellow ink across the background for a touch of sparkle. Once dry, I mounted the panel onto an A2 white card base, then popped up the bunny with foam pads for dimension. For the finishing touch, I added a scattering of red stars cut with the Let's Celebrate Backdrop Die die to bring in that extra bit of superhero magic.
