Granny Square Thanks Card

Granny Square Thanks Card

Hey, Terri here! Today I’m sharing a Granny Square–themed card using Concord & 9th products.

I started by setting up my stamping platform with the All-In-One Turnabout Jig and the acetate template from the Granny Square Stamp Set. This helps align the stamp in the right position so the image comes out crisp and even. I placed the stamp on top of the template, closed the door of my stamping platform to pick it up, then removed the acetate sheet.

Next, I cut a piece of smooth white cardstock to 5.5" x 5.5" and added it to the jig. I chose earth-tone inks for this card—if you’re rotating the Turnabout four times, you’ll need four ink colours. I inked up the stamp and closed the platform to transfer the first colour. Then I rotated the cardstock one turn to the right, inked up with the next colour, and stamped again. I repeated this process until all four colours were stamped.

Using the Granny Square Die Set, I cut the thanks sentiment—creating the shadow layer from green cardstock and the thinner top layer from pink. I adhered the two layers together and set the sentiment aside. Next, I die cut the crochet hooks twice and layered them to give them extra dimension.

For the background, I used the Quilted Card Front Die on baby-pink cardstock, trimmed it to size, and adhered it to an A2 white card base. I then trimmed the stamped panel and attached it over the background. Finally, I added the layered sentiment with foam pads and positioned the crochet hooks beneath it.
