Today I have a layered stencilled card to share with you and something I’ve not tried before, die cut stencilling.
I was delighted to receive the Altenew Bountiful Butterflies Builder Stencil Set and Coordinating Bountiful Butterflies Die Set for my birthday. They have been on my wishlist for a while.
At first the stencils look a little complicated, but after taking my time to follow the instructions on the back of the packaging they are really easy to use and to layer up. Stencil 1 and 2 are used to create the background and stencil 3 is for the single butterfly which I have die cut.
I found it easier to die cut the butterfly, secure in place and then stencil onto it. I used some Altenew inks from the Lapis Lazuli collection for all of my card today. The sentiment is from Concord & 9th Delicate Blossoms and I added some old Altenew enamel dots from my stash.
I do love butterflies and I can see myself having lots more fun with this.
