over here in Germany we are in week 10 of lockdown and counting! And that’s the reason I want to share another Sending Hugs card with you today. It is such a great way to send your friends some love.
It all started with this huge hugs stamp from Waffle Flower, the set is called Oversized Hugs. I think it is very pretty. And it takes up a lot of space so it’s perfect for a quick card!
I decided to combine the stamp with a cute little image and thought this pig from Mama Elephant’s Hogs and Kisses would make a perfect fit. I coloured it using watercolours and pencils. There are coordinating dies available to cut out the image.
For the background I tried something new to me. I blended a few shades of Distress Oxide Inks on the paper by using a brayer. The result is much more smooth than with a blending tool.
