The sun is out again today, but there is a definite feel of Autumn in the air. The mornings and evenings are crisper with the fresh air and leaves are starting to fall.
Today I have dusted off the Mama Elephant Leafy Cover Die, which I don’t think I have actually used for a card. I imagined it to frame the ‘thankful’ sentiment from Concord & 9th Playful Pumpkins perfectly and I was right.
I used Distress Oxides for a change to blend onto my card, Fossilised Amber, Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint & Vintage Photo. I then simply die cut the frame and adhered it to my card base around just the edges of the frame, leaving the leaves to be free.
I stamped the sentiment after, so I could ensure none of the leaves covered it. Super simple, but effective.
