I've had my lovely metallic threads out again to get some more stitching done on the latest release from Concord and 9th. I really love the variegated threads as you can get rainbow patterns with zero effort and I'm enjoying a bit of easy stitching whilst watching the traitors of an evening.
I die cut a selection of hearts from the new Stitch of Love Piercing Die in both Ballet Slipper and Pimento card and added stitching with the gold-turqquise-pink thread - mostly following the patterns but I did try a blanket stitch on one of the ones designed just to have an inner border so do try messing around with other patterns!
Once I'd completed all the hearts I started on the background - I wanted a bit of pattern behind my cluster of hearts so opted to die cut the Halo Piercing Die, my favourite from the previous stitching release, but without stitching. I die cut it from some cream card (the very delicious Peachy Glow from Altenew's latest card colour drop) and used a pink pencil with a ruler over all the debossed lines to make them stand out more - there are so many ways to use these dies without stitching!!!

I mounted that onto a square base card and then it was just a case of assembling my cluster of hearts and the sentiment. I cut the sentiment from Cranberry card and cut the smaller hearts in the set from both that and gold mirri card then just played around with them until I was happy with the shape. My top tip here is to do this dry, take a photo on your phone and then you can duplicate it easily with glueing them in place and knowing which layer to start with.
Although the hearts suggest Valentines, I do think this would be lovely get well, sympathy or just thinking of you card too - sending love and hugs works for all those occasions.
