North Pole Post with The Greetery Market Place

North Pole Post with The Greetery Market Place

Hi, it's Natalia here today with more inspiration from the wonderful Market Place series by The Greetery.

This time, the spotlight is on the Market Place No. 2 die set.

Christmas card idea with The Greetery Market Place No. 2 die

I've previously made stand-alone cards with the large Market Place dies, but this time wanted to make an A2 card with a scandi feel to the building colours.

For the Market Place No. 2 die, I used cardstock in the following shades:

  • C9: Lakefront, Honeycomb, Stardust, Rainforest
  • Cream

And used one of the narrow buildings from the Market Place Mini die set to fill the full width of an A2 card base using the same cardstock shades, but using C9 Peacock for the house this time.

I gave both houses a good splattering of white paint and set them aside to dry while I prepped my cardbase with a few swipes of Black Soot Distress ink to create a night sky, complete with White Gold paint splatter from the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors palette.

While that was drying, I stamped and cut the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Tagged Elegance stamp and die set and added the North Pole Post banner from the Market Place Holiday stamps set to the Market Place No. 2 house.

Once the card was assembled with the houses, I went ahead and added the wreaths, bows, and glittery garlands cut with the Market Place Holiday Festoons dies before adding puffy paint and a good sprinkling of glitter for the ultimate festive feel.

Those finishing details really bring the card to life.

Until next time, happy crafting!
