Jen here and today I am sharing a couple of thank you cards made using the new Mama Elephant release from earlier this week. I absolutely adore owls so had to use this set for these super cute simple thank you cards.
These cards are an unusual size at 3.5 inches by 5.5 inches. I wanted a top fold card so simply trimmed down an A2 card base to make them slimmer. They still fit into the mini slimline size envelopes, just not quite as tall.
I started by cutting two panels and ink blending them with Tumbled glass and Chipped Sapphire distress oxide ink lightly, fading this out to the botton third of the panel. I then added the sentiment from the Note Of Thanks stamp set to the panel using versafine claiir black ink.
I coloured in the owls on branches from the Owl Are You stamp set and coloured them in using alcohol markers. I fussy cut them out but there are matching dies available.
I trimmed the colour panels down slightly and added them to the card base before mounting the owls onto the card using foam tape. I added a little detail to the background with a white gel pen on one of the cards to finish it off.
Love how verstile the owls are for many occasions.
