Hey stampers, Anni here.
Sometimes inspiration comes in strange ways. The idea for this card started with some scraps lying around in my crafting area. I liked how the colours looked together and added some further scraps to get a rainbow of subtle pastell colours.
From these scraps I die cut the letters for happy (a few of each letter to stack them up) using Concord and 9th's Simple Serif Alphabet Dies.
To go along with the happy I chose a tiny 'birthday' from Lawn Fawn's Offset Sayings: Birthdays. I heat embossed it in white on a stripe of dark grey cardstock.
I also stamped three penguins from Mama Elephant's Little Penguin Agenda. Before I started colouring I decided where they should sit on my card. Then I took the same colours as the letters for colouring. To cut out the images there are coordinating dies available.
To create the background I blended some grey ink through Altenew's Feeling Dotty stencil.
When I layout the card I thought something was missing. So I decided to add in another layer under the panel. I cut down a tiny bigger rectangle from white cardstock and coloured the edges with the exact same alcohol markers that I used for the penguins.
All there was left to do was to assemble the card.
Thanks for stoping by, have a crafty weekend and stay healthy.
