Hi everyone, it's Natalia here today with a pretty floral number inspired by last week's sneak peeks from The Greetery's newest collection.
The worst of the heat wave had finally passed at the weekend, so I managed some time at my craft desk with a blissful breeze coming through the window.
The new La Dolce Vita summer collection is packed full of Mediterranean-inspired goodies. It also includes a new floral builder die set called Coastal Cuttings, which is in the same vein as the OG die set I've used today, Best Bouquet Details, and the Wild Wetlands die set that came out last autumn.
This totally inspired me to give Best Bouquet Details a summery and zingy outing.

The delightful thing about Best Bouquet Details and other floral layering dies is that you can use up those scraps of card!
In fact, I had some of these flowers already pre-cut and assembled from a past project.
To add a little variation to the greenery, I used C9 Evergreen as my base, but cut out some of the leaves from the C9 Clover base I also cut. The rest of the C9 clover piece is under the Evergreen foliage so that it creates a pop of dimension when the Evergreen leaves are curled up.
As the backdrop to the bouquet, I went with a zingy C9 Tidepool piece impressed with the Aida Cloth texture plate.

The largest of the Hoopla Oval dies provided the perfect frame - I cut it from C9 Hazelnut but also went over the raised area with a darker brown ink pad to make the woodgrain stand out more.
The A2 Stitched Scallops set provided the perfect backdrop to the frame, and I finished the card off with a Laid Back Basics sentiment.
Until next time, happy crafting!
