Who doesn't love a box of chocolates? Okay there may be a few who don't or cant eat them but the beauty of this new Box of Chocolates dienamics set from MFT is anyone can enjoy them and better still, as the creator, you get to be a master chocolatier too....

Now the set is aimed at Valentines Day but as we know, a box of choccies is well received throughout the year so I delved into my stash to find the MFT Interactive Window Stax dies to make an opening square box for these chocolates. I started by using one of the dies to cut an opening flap into a card panel and then found a piece of patterned card to cut using the same die. This will give you another hinged square so by removing the die and turning it around before running it back through your machine you will get a die cut square that perfectly matches the box lid.

I adhered that to the lid and then cut the beautiful ribbon and bow from the set in glitter card... the ribbon was a little too long so I used scissors to trim the length once it was glued in place. Now onto sweet treats inside..... the die set gives you two pieces to cut the chocolates and wrappers which makes die cutting quicker and I just ran them through a few times using white, cream and shades of brown cardstock. I added a small amount of shading using daubers and ink then had a fun time arranging and decorating those choccies....

I added a backing paper under the chocs and worked out where they should sit on the card base before adding the panel by laying the hinged panel in place and using a pin/needle to prick four holes at the corners of the aperturewhilst it was still closed. Doing it that way means you don't need to open the hinged window before giving the card to the recipient. I added a couple of greetings from Concord & 9th stamp sets.... Here's the scoop and Birthday Stacks. You could easily add a tiny tag/mini card to the front or inside of the box if you wanted to personlise it more which I'll do when I know who I'm sending it too..... for the moment I'm enjoying those yummy chocs and imagining what they taste like :)

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
