Dinosaur RAWR!

Can dinosaurs ever be considered cute?..... they can if you're talking about Mama Elephants Little Dino Agenda stamp set. I've got a small gathering on todays card to let someone know they're Rawr-some....

To make this card I started by stamping out a few dinosaurs onto scrap paper, not worrying about them overlapping, so I could plan out the arrangement. After stamping each dinosaur I made a second impression image onto another piece of scrap paper so I could cut them out as masks. Despite them being quite small they're not to fiddly to cut out, especially as they're stamped onto paper and they don't have to be super neat. I used the masks to make my little gathering and this helped me work out which order I needed to stamp them... foreground to background. You can see them below after I've used them as masks...

I stamped them onto a piece of card that was slightly larger than required so I could cut the width down later. I couloured the dinos and then used a knife and ruler to cut the straight ground line and scissors to trim around the dinosaurs. For a sentiment I've used a Waffleflower speech bubble die as a stencil to draw a bubble with a black pen then added a part stamped and die cut sentiment inside it. That little guy looking up just seemed to be the one needing a speech bubble :)

Wouldn't it have been a colourful place if dinosaurs where lots of lovely colours like these..... I think it helps to make them look quite cute too :)
