It's a really exciting week here at SHC HQ as today we are launching a brand new brand in store. Some of you may already be familiar with them as they've been around since 2021 in Germany but as we mostly concentrate on US brands we hadn't thought to stock them before. However, given the votality of the US market at the moment due to all dies being now made in China, we wanted to ensure we could still bring you some fabulous dies so are really happy to have A POCKET FULL OF HAPPINESS in the UK now.
We're going to be doing a few things to celebrate so you'll want to keep an eye on the blog all week - tomorrow Zsoka, the owner of A Pocket Full of Happiness will be sharing some great makes with her favourite dies, then Natalia and Bev will have a card to share on Wednesday and Thursday respectively, then on Friday we'll be having a little giveaway to celebrate this gorgeous new brand so you won't want to miss that one!
I'm kicking things off today with a couple of different dies that really jumped out at me when the big box of goodies arrived last week - Boom and Congratulations. I thought "BOOM" was a great way to launch a new brand!!!
I was inspired by the lovely rainbow logo for my colour scheme starting with red in the middle and working out to purple on a 5 x 7 inch card (many of the background dies from this brand are 5 x 7 inch so not USA sized cards like most of our others). I added the horizontal Congratulations sentiment in black to finish the card for a big impact.
I wanted to make another card whilst I had the Congrats die on my desk and again went with a rainbow. This time I just used my copics to swipe a rainbow down a US A2 sized card and then cut the vertical sentiment twice from a strip of white card cut to 2½ inches wide - I stacked both on top of each other for dimension and then stacked over the rainbow (adding the middles back into the O's, R and A's by temporarily putting the letter in place whilst I glued the middles down)
