Hey there, Terri here! Today I am sharing a Kangaroo themed birthday card, it just so happens that today is also my son's 20th birthday, so Happy Birthday Eddie.
I started by stamping all of my chosen images from both the Kanga-riffic Stamp Set and the Kanga-riffic Add-on Stamp set onto 80lb super smooth white cardstock using an alcohol friendly ink pad. I then used my alcohol markers to colour the images. I used the Kanga-riffic Die set and Kanga-riffic Add-On Die set to cut the images in my die cut machine.
To create my backgound , I cut a piece of white card sotck to measure 8.5" by 3.5". I use some post it note tape to mask off the lower section of the card while I inked the clouds using Broken China Distress Oxide ink. I then moved the tape to cover the clouds and ink the ground using Tea Dye Oxide ink. I then used the Stitched Mountain Borders Die set to cut my mountains and inked them in a mixture of Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Oxide ink. I added some water splatters for added texture.
My favourite part is always putting the scene together, I tend to lay thigns out before sticking them in place and when I'm happy I take a picture with my phone and then I can start sticking. Beofre sticking anythign in place I added the sentiment to the top right corner of the card. I then adhered the panel to a slimline card blank.
I'm super happy with how my card turned out and can't wait to make more Kangaroo themed projects. Thank you for stopping by. See you next week.
