Hi stampers, Anni here!
Are you all making Christmas cards right now? Or are you done already? Or haven’t you even started yet? I tend to make Christmas cards from September to December, sometimes I try to make some through the year! I love to make Christmas cards and Christmas stamps, too. Every year I think I have enough sets in my stash, I don’t need to buy new ones. But that didn’t work out!
This year My Favorite Things’ Joyous Holiday was one of the sets I just had to have. I love the Santa and the reindeers so much; they are just too cute.
I stamped the images I wanted to use in a light ink because I wanted to do no line colouring. The images are very delicate, so I decided to colour with pencils. I feel like I have more control with pencils. Here and there I needed black lines to make the images recognizable. I draw the glasses, the eyes and some other details with a black fineliner.
To cut out the images there are coordinating dies available.
I spent some time colouring so I wanted to keep the rest of the card simple. I just took a piece of white cardstock, added some ink blending in turquoise with some splashes of shimmer.
I adhered the panel to a white card base and my card was done.
Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.
Anni
