I am back with another card but this time not with a Christmas card (yes, it is that time of the year). Today I have a flower birthday card for you featuring Newton’s Nook’s Peony Blooms.
I stamped the flowers on watercolour cardstock using waterproof grey ink. I chose grey because I did not want the harsh contrast of black.
For the colouring I went with watercolours because I love them especially for flowers. To achieve more dimension I also added shadows using pencils. For the highlights I draw lines with a white gel pen.
For the panel I die cut a scalloped rectangle from mama Elephant’s Framed Tags: Waverly set. On this panel I stamped the sentiment with the same ink I used for the flowers. The sentiment came from Mama Elephant’s Scripty BDay.
A few sequins finished up the card.
