I've got a card to share today for our neighbour who turns 90 tomorrow! More on that below, but first off - I wanted to share some news as tomorrow will be welcoming a brand new member to our DT with her very first post here to inspire you all and we know you're going to love her. Her name is Ang, but she goes by PaperandRibbonsOffical over on Instagram so you may well know her already as she regularly shares her makes in our VIPs group too. If you don't know her yet, well you're in for a treat - and below is a little screenshot from her Insta to see the kind of things you'll be seeing each Monday from now on!

Right, back to my post for today. I thought a fish themed card would be good for our neighbour so went for the Something Fishy Die from The Greetery - cutting 3 of the fish from grey card and using my Gansai Tambi paints to give them a nice rainbow trout style shimmer effect. I added the fin details in just plain grey for a little contrast and used a black pen to make their eyes.
Once I'd built all my fish I arranged them to fill a panel of blue card - where bits hung off and were trimmed off - some were repurposed as just heads or tails to fill in the gaps. I cut the hats from yellow card and used a red marker to add the stripes.
The sentiment comes from the Something Fishy Sentiments Stamp and Die Kit and I stamped it with versafine clair in Twilight and cut 3 more layers of card to stack behind it - stacking your sentiment is a good way to make it pop on a busy background.
I stuck with The Greetery for the number too - using an older but still a favourite - the Bold Numbers Die which I cut from white card but inked with the same Twilight ink to make sure it matched - again with an extra layer stacked behind to make it pop.
Thankfully our neighbour isn't a fan of the internet so he won't see this before he gets it tomorrow so I can share it now. Fingers crossed he likes it.
