Encouraging Notecards

Encouraging Notecards

For todays cards I've used Concord & 9th's stamp and die set called Kids are Grand. I love the simple shapes and sentiments within this set and even if you don't have cards to make for grandchildren you can mix it up with other stamps and dies to make encouraging and celebratory cards for anyone....

The gold cup die is perfect for those celebrations and a well deserved pat on the back. I've used patterned paper to make two ribbons draped through the handles and used the Big Burst die over a starry background to create a focal point. The sentiment and banner die are from the same sets and I found that 4" cards are the perfect size base for these notecards.

I've used two Square Scalloped Frames layered for this card, I thought the shapes they made complimented the Triangle backdrop and the arrangement of the flower and leaves.

The Confetti All Around die makes a great shiny burst for the little star. I cut it into the front of the card and used a sunny yellow scrap of paper to line the inside of the card so it shows through the holes. I used a lined background and added a sentiment from Halftone Stars for this card.

For this sunny little card I added a fluffy white cloud and attached them to three Slim Tags mounted onto the notecard base. I heat embossed the sentiment onto one of the tags and added bright yellow thread to all three tags.

They were fun to make, sometimes making notecards makes things easier with less space to play with. I also liked keeping to a bold and graphic theme which matched the simple die cut shapes. These would be great little notecards to send and brighten someones day.... something we could all do with sometimes :)

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
