Postage Collage Christmas Card

Postage Collage Christmas Card

Hi There, Terri here! Today I am sharing my first ever card using the Postage Collage products from Waffle Flower!

I will be using the Postage Collage Die in the original A2 size, there are also A6, A7, Slimline and Mini Slimline sizes available. I am also using the Postage Collage Christmas Stencil, this is a layering stencil that builds little scence into each of the stamp sections.

I started by die cutting the Postage Collage Die from 110lb white cardstock, I used a super smooth card as this allows for better ink application when ink blending. I placed the die cut piece onto a Grip Mat, this keeps the cardstock from moving when blending and also grips the stencil so that I don't need to use tape. I added ink to stencil using Mini Blending Brushes.

Top Tip -  use a piece of acetate or a stamp carrier sheet to cover over areas that you do not want to ink, this way you can keep everything nice and clean. Use a damp microfiber cloth to wipe it clean before moving to a new area or using a new ink colour.

After all of the Stencil layers were ink blended I used the Royal Mail Stamp Set to add post marks to the stamps. Waffle flower has several versions of the post mark stamps, you can choose one that works with the season or the location of the recipiant.  I decided to cut the stamps into individual piece so that I could play with the composition on my card. I just alogned the circle areas witht he cutting blade on my trimmer to get an even cut.

I prepared an A2 card base by covering it with a piece of patterned paper from the 6x6 Falling Leaves Paper Pad. I then cut a piece of white card to measure 4" by 5.25" and added some gold inky splatters. Once dry I adde it to my card blank and then started to place the stamps, rearraning them until I was happy with the layout. I then placed them using foam pads. I added a sentiment from the Dry Brush Poinsettia Stamp Set into the bottom corner.

Earlier this week Natalia shared another card using the Postage Collage system, you can view it here.
