Silhouette Stamping on Ombre backgrounds.

Silhouette Stamping on Ombre backgrounds.

Hi, Terri here. Today I am sharing 3 cards that feature Silhouette stamping using Altenew's Pen Sketched Silhouette Stamp set. All images are stamed using the Nocturne Versafine Clair Ink Pad and the backgrounds are blended with Distress Oxide Inks.

Mini Slimline

I blended the background in an ombre of yellow to red, It's always best to use a super smooth cardstock, I like to use Neenah or Bristol Smooth. Once blended I stamped the image and sentiment. I stamp three times to get the best stark black effect I can. I then cut the inked and stamped panel using the large Mini Slimline Stackables Dies from Lawn Fawn. Lastly I added a few inky splatters.

A2 Portrait

This time I changed the colours used for my Ombre blend to purple and lilac tones. I used one of the floral stamps to create a border around the edge of the Card Panel. I then cut it using the A2 Stitched Rectangles and added some black inky splatters, stamped a sentiment and added it to an A2 Notecard.

Oval Aperture

The blend on this card is so beautiful, I love the teal blended into the blue. I used the Small Stitched Oval Stackable Dies to cut an oval from the inked panel, and a larger one from black card. I stamped the sentiment onto the inked oval and layered it onto the black oval. Using the leafy sprig, I stamped all over the blended panel and then added inky splatters. I placed the Ovals over the aperture to finish the card.

I forgot how much fun ink blening and silhouette stamping can be, I'm sure I'll have inky fingers for a few days to come.
