Say it with a shaker

Say it with a shaker

Today I am finally inking up my Lawn Fawn Conversation Heart Stencil, I love using a stencil to create a background that acts like patterened paper on my cards and this stencil set hits the spot.

I used distress oxide inks to blend through the heart shaped openings using a blending brush, I made sure to over lap and blend the the areas where colours met to achieve as smooth a blend as possible. I then used a white pigment ink to blend the word stencil, as pigment inks stay wet for a long time I use some antistatic powder over the inked areas to stop them from smudging.

I used the stitched heart die from the Magic Color Slider die set to cut an aperture in the inked card, I added some acetate to the reverse using red tape and then added shaker foam around the outer edge of the card. I used a teal colour base card and added some sequins and then the top layer, I find this helps me line things up a lot better. Lastly I cut the Hello sentiment from glitter card using the die from the Magic Color Slider set.
