Spotlight Stamping with Concord & 9th Citrus Twist Turnabout.
Hello & Happy Thursday!
Today I have some more Concord & 9th Turnabout cards to share with you and this time I have used one of my favourite techniques, Spotlight Stamping.
This is such a fun technique that can be done in lots of different ways. One of my favourites is to use it with larger backgrounds like I have done today. I’ve also done the technique two ways, hopefully giving you more creative inspiration.
I was delighted to see the citrus trend return this summer, I love the zesty colours and of course I couldn’t resist adding the Concord & 9th products to my collection. I decided to use the Citrus Twist Turnabout before it goes back out of stock again!
I started by choosing my 4 colours, Sprout, Grapefruit, Buttercup and Watermelon. I then set to stamping the turnabout using my Altenew Stamp Wheel. If you missed my video last week you can catch up with it HERE.
For my first card today I went square. Unusual for me, but I wanted to see more of the lovely pattern and create a dramatic background.
I Stamped the Turnabout twice. First with the colours I'd chosen and then another purely in VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink for each turn.
Using the coloured layer, I placed the large lemon/lime shape die, circle and half circle die from the Citrus Crush Die where I wanted them to be seen on my card and leaaving space for a sentiment.
I then used foam adhesive to adhere the die cuts in the corresponding places on my black stamped layer.
To finish the card I adhered my panel to a Grapefruit card base, added the sentiment from the Citrus Crush Stamp and a few Buttercup enamel dots.
For my second card today I went back to my usual 10.5 x 14 cm sized card! I used exactly the same colours as it's a lovely combo.
This time I wanted the background to peek through the die cut windows. I used the same 3 dies as before, die cutting them into a white piece of card the same size as my background and being sure to leave space for this fun larger sentiment.
I adhered the die cut panel using foam tape for dimension and added the same Buttercup enamel dots to finish.
That's all from me today, I hope you have fun trying out this tecnique.
