Botanical Notecards

Botanical Notecards

I'm easing back into my card making with a couple of note cards today, its such a lovely simple design that I will probably go on to make a few more in different colourways too....

I've used the new Botanical turnabout stamp set from Concord & 9th which I have to say is probably my favourite so far because it can be used all year round just by changing up the colours you use. Distress Oxides were my inks of choice for theses cards but I think dye inks would work beautifully too.

I chose four colours which shout spring to me, makes a change from all the christmas greens, reds and icy blues which, incidentally, will look fab for next years christmas cards. I stamped the turnabout onto a 6" square piece of card and then sliced it in half to make two cards...

I adhered the pieces to a card blank and then found a coordinating piece of card in my scraps box to use as an edging strip... or, of course you could always colour your own with one of the ink colours used. I felt a narrow white strip just added an extra missing detail on the solid colour and then I was happy.

Leaving them like this means they can be used as a set or given a sentiment to fit the occasion when it arises and you could of course add extra embelishments too..... I think I'm off to explore more colour palettes to work with.

Thanks for stopping by and catch you next week :)
