Happy Birthday from Outer Space!

I love all the Little Agenda stamp sets by Mama Elephant. Today's card is featuring Little Agenda Spaceship.
I started by stamping a few images on watercolour paper with no idea for a card in my mind. That's how I often start a card. I used watercolours and pencils for colouring and added highlights with a white pencil and a white gel pen.
As I knew there would be a dark background, maybe a galaxy background, I wanted the images without a white edge. So I fussy cut the images by hand and didn't use the coordinating dies.
When the colouring and cutting was finished I lay out the images on my card base. But nothing seemed to work out, I didn't like any arrangement I came up with.
So I decided to crete the background first. I used some alcohol inks on yupo paper and let it dry overnight. The next day I die cut a scalloped rectangle from Mama Elephant's Framed Tags: Waverly .
I stamped a sentiment from the Little Agenda Spaceship set in white on blck cardstock and die cut it with the same scallop rectangle.
When I had the sentiment everything fell into place and the card came together easily.
