How to create a Wimbledon themed card using Lawn Fawn Strawberry Patch.

Hello, Terri here! Today I am sharing a card that was inspired by Wimbledon. I was thinking strawberries, Perfect green grass and pristine white clothes when this card was created.

I started by die cutting lots of juicy strawberries from the Strawberry Patch Die Set. I actually cut them in a pink colour and then used some red ink to blend over the top, adding a little white to lighten if needed. I cut the stems and leaves from a lime green and then added some darker green. I adhered the tops to the strawberries and added some white gel pen highlights.

Using the Give It A Whirl Messages: Friends Stamp Set I stamped a sentiment onto a white rectangle which was cut using the largest of the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables Die Set. I then added some black and golc inky splatters for more interest.

I started to add the fruit around the sentiment to frame it, making sure not to overpower it. I always let images overhang the edge to give the impression that it was a piece of larger patterened paper that I've cut to size. I turned the panel over and trimmed the overhanging pieces, this way I can see the rectangle edge.

I added some glossy accents to look like dew drops on the fruit and leaves and added some red  marker to the accents either side of the sentiment, I think they look like juice from the strawberries. I covered an A2 cardbase with a green and white stripped paper and then added the focal panel using foam tape.

I love how this card turned out, Thanks for stopping by today.
