Whoosh Kites with Colouring Stencils

Whoosh Kites with Colouring Stencils

Hey there, Terri here! Today I am sharing a card using Whoosh Kites, I will be using the coloring stencil instead of markers for a change.

I started by stamping all of my chosen images from the Whoosh Kites Stamp Set onto 80lb super smooth cardstock. I then used the Whoosh Kites Coloring Stencil to add colour to the images. I used mini blending brushes, this way I dont ink into other areas and can also concerntrate the ink into certain areas for darker shading. I then cut the images using the coordinating Whoosh Kites Die Set. I added some white gel pen highlights and a little glitter glue.

My sentiment was white heat embossed onto green card and die cut using the Stitched Sentiment Banners. I die cut a white panel using the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackable Dies  and added some light blue shading near the top to look like the sky. I added the sentiment banner using foam pads and then started to add all of the images. I used some of the small word stamps to add the "Flap" and "Whoosh" around the kites.

I used the largest of the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables to cut a piece of floral paper and added it to an A2 card base.  I then added the decorated panel with foam tape. I finished by adding some sparkly splatters to the sky.

I am really pleasded with how this card turned out. Using the coloring stenciils really speeds up the process but I will still be reaching for my markers more often than not.
