Whimsical Wings - Butterfly Gratitude Card

Whimsical Wings - Butterfly Gratitude Card

Hey there, Terri here! Today I am sharing a card featuring the Whilmsical Wings Stamp, Die and Stencil Set from Concorde & 9th. My colours where inspired by a blouse I saw a lady wearing on Sunday whilst I was having lunch. As soon as I saw them I knew I had to create a card with them.

I used the following colours -

Yellow Ochre - Fall Harvest  collection

Pinkaliciouos -  Cherry Blossom collection

Easy Breezy -  Ocean Dreams collection

I started by stamping out the Butterfly form the Whimsical Wings Stamp set. I used the Yellow Ochre for the leaves, Pinkalicious for the fowers and Easy Breezy for the main body. I then used the coordinating Die  to cut out the sections and assembled it with a strong glue.

Using the Whimsical Wings Stencil Set and small blending brushes, I created the back panel of my card. I used a light hand in order to achieve a softer/lighter ink blend. I then used the Quilted Card Front Die to add texture to the panel. I love howit looks like fabric.

I added the stencilled panel to a piec eof teal card and then foam mounted it on to an A2 Kraft card base. I then added the butterfly, again using foam pads. I stamp a sentiment from set and die cut it using the coordinating die.

I am very please with how this card turned out. You will notice that some of the stamping isn't 100% aligned, I actually like this, as I think the white peeping through allows the colours to pop more....happy accident lol!
