Tree Lot Inlay - Paper Piecing Christmas Card

Tree Lot Inlay - Paper Piecing Christmas Card

Hi there, Terri here! Today I am creating a Christmas Card using the Tree Lot Inlay Die from Concord & 9th.

I start by cutting the die 5 times from different coloured carstock, I chose 2 shades of green, 2 shades of pink and then for added shine I used Satin Gold. I put all of the die cut pieces into little dishes to keep them seperate.

I added a piece of Double Sided Adhesive Sheet to a piece 110lb white cardstock and then using another piece of white card cut the Tree Lot Inlay Die. I added the negative to the double sided adhesive piece, now the fun starts! I start to add the die cut pieces randomly but trying not to put two colours directly next to eachother. Adding the gold pieces really does add a bit of luxury to the design.

Next I cut my sentiment. Here I used the Holiday Sayings Die which is now out of stock (click too add to wishlist and know when it's back in) You could use any of the sayings from either Holly Jolly Greetings or Classic Holiday Greetings dies. I cut the base layer from my darkest green. The words themselves were cut twice, once fro the gold and once from pink, I added the double sided adhesive to the words to make it quickand easy to adhere.  I used the gold as a drop shadow behind the pink..

To put the card toegther, I trimmed the filled panel down by around 1/4" and added it to an A2 Card base with foam tape. I then took some gold thread and placed it in a little nest and added the sentiment ot top using foam pads.

I am so happy with how this card turned out. I still have all of the pieces I didn't use in my little dishes that will allow me to create another 4 or 5 card.
