For Bridgerton Fans

The latest release from The Greetery coincided with Netflix showing me lots of teases for the upcoming third series of Bridgerton and it got me thinking that the Inked Well stamp and die set would be the perfect set to make a card for the Bridgerton fans in your life.   The sentiment on the outside means you can put literally anything on the inside so it will work for birthdays, anniversaries, get well, hello - even an invite to a Bridgerton binge party (yes I am that binger!)

I thought the quill would be the perfect image to pair with some scripty writing of "Dearest Reader" just as Lady Whilstledown starts her gossip column.  I stamped the feather in a soft lilac, die cut the quill part from gold paper (no stamping although you can if you like) and then stamped and die cut the ink bottle from purples.  I used the same gold card to die cut the quill holder (no stamping again) but added the stamped detail on top.  I dipped the end of the quill into black embossing powder and hand drew a drip falling off it with a fine liner.

For the sentiment I used Perfectly Penned from Concord and 9th (currently out of stock but will be back in stock by the end of the week).  You could try any alphabet you have or Lovely Letters and Sophisticated Script would also work well.  I just drew a light pencil line and stamped the letters across.

The column always has a silhoutte at the top - I recreated something similar using the At the Movies Romance Stamp from MFT.  Not quite the right shape but it nods to the column and fans would get it I think and I liked the finished look.

I used a cream card base for a regency look and added a simple hand drawn black frame to hold it altogether.

NEWS FROM THE STORE

• The brand new release from Concord and 9th including the new colours (except the patterned papers which are not offered to retailers) are shipping on Monday and should be with us by Thursday.

• Thursday also sees the release of the latest collection from Mama Elephant - stand by for cute pigs to join last month's super cute cows!  We have it already so it will be in store for release.

• The latest release from Altenew is in transit and due tomorrow or Tuesday so will be in store as soon as we can process it once we get it.

• The spring release from Lawn Fawn follows on the 22nd Feb and that will be in store at 7am on that date.

• The Greetery has a new release out the following week and we hope to have that for release day too (or very shortly after if not)
