All The Three's

All The Three's

Jen here and today I am using Anita Jeram's Big Love stamps and dies to show you a similar card design for three cards of three different sizes with three different ways to add texture.

The main image out of this set is quite tall so initially I was drawn to a DL or slimline card size... then I thought I could show you how to use it on all 3 of the popular card sizes, A2, Mini Slimiline and Slimline/DL.

I started by stamping the mouse using a stamping platform 3 times (I used the stamping platform as I wanted to restamp after colouring with Versafine clair ink) and the coloured in the images using alcohol markers.  To save time they are all the same apart from some detail on each mice.  Once Coloured i cut out the images - there is a matching die set so this is easy.   I also stamped the sentiment 3 times from the set in Versafine Clair Nocture Ink and trimmed them out to strips.

I then set to work on the different textured panels. Since it would take the longest I did the mini slimline panel with the Altenew stencil and some embossing grit paste and did a distressed look by not covering the whole area.  this is a great way to use a stencil that is made for a different sized card.  I set this off to dry.

For the A2 card I decided to use a 3D embossing folder from Altenew and sprayed the card with little water before running through my diecut machine.

For the final Slimline/Dl panel i decided to use white on white card stock to add the texture.  In order to create the stripes I used the Lawn Fawn simple stripes die and then placed them diagonally and trimmed off the excess.

Next I assembled the cards starting with the slimline/DL.  I added the sentiment across the bottom and then using foam tape added the mouse and presents image above it.

For the Mini Slimline I added the image using foam tape then cut the sentiment into 3 pieces before adding in in the bottom corner.

For the A2 card I really wanted to do a landscape card but the image was two tall... so I cut up the image and removed some of the middle presents.  Now it fits perfectly.

Hope you like all the ideas for making the most out of your crafting goodies.  Have a great Saturday
