I am so happy to be back sharing cards with you here on the new and shiny Seven Hills Crafts blog.

A few weeks ago I had problems with my foot and stayed hom from work. I spent the whole day colouring and had so much fun - what a luxury!

For that colouring session I chose a beautiful image by My Favorite Things: Floral Focus. A perfect stamp to practize colouring. I stamped the image in a very light ink and started colouring with coloured pencils. What I love about coloured pencils that you can blend nearly any colour into another. Here I went from a very dark red over a pink to a very light peachy colour. When the flowers werde finished I also added shadows around them.

I die cut Lil'Inkers Design's Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangles from the coloured image and adhered it to a peachy card base.

For the sentiment I needed something clean and simple. I found a sentiment I liked in My Favorite Things' Ewe are the Best. I stamped and heat embossed it in white on a strip of grey cardstock. And that finished up my card.
