I'm keeping it quite clean and simple for todays card as it's been a hot weekend which means a rather warm crafting space!! The remedy was to produce ice creams to make a summer birthday card.... well what else in this weather!?

Summer Scoops is an older stamp set from Sugarpea designs and I do love the solid layering shapes, there's a few different types of treats in the set but I loved this sentiment, so sprinkles and ice creams it had to be :) I've used the dies which are currently out of stock but the shapes are fairly easy to trim around too. Once I'd chosen my flavours and toppings I arranged the ice creams on the card and worked out the placement of the sentiment.

I've used a polka dot background in sno-cone ink to give the card blank a subtle pattern..... you can never go wrong with a polka dot ;) There are a few options in store for dotty backgrounds including the new Polka Dot party stamp which would work perfectly too.
