Easter Bunnies

Easter Bunnies

Morning! I hope you’re all well. It’s really beginning to feel like spring. We had a wonderful weekend in North Wales with lots of sunshine. Mum worked in the garden and I played in my craft room! I’ve made a few Easter cards to share with you. The first is very much out of my comfort zone. I love cute cards but find them a bit of a struggle. Here’s my card:

I created the background using Lawn Fawn’s Grassy Hillsides Stencils. I stamped various images from Lawn Fawn’s Easter Before ‘n’ Afters and Blue Skies. I stamped my ‘Happy Easter’ greeting inside the large cloud. I used the co-ordinating Easter Before ‘n’ After dies to cut out the bunnies, basket, and eggs, and simply fussy cut the clouds. I adhered two clouds to the side of the card and then used the large rectangular scalloped edged die to cut out my card. This die comes from the Concord & 9th Confetti Card die set. I adhered the elements to the card, adding dimensional pads to the Easter basket and the red egg.

Inside the card, I cat a piece of white card slightly smaller than the base. I made the greeting by using the small words from Easter Before ‘n’ Afters and the scripty ‘Easter’ word comes from Lawn Fawn’s Celebration Scripty Sentiments. My next card is more my usual style:

I stamped the row of Easter eggs, from Lawn Fawn’s Simply Celebrate Spring, on white card, coloured them with Copic markers, restamped with Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear ink. I used the co-ordinating Simply Celebrate Spring die to cut out the eggs. I worked out where I wanted to position the eggs, and then stamped the eggs all over the front of the card in a soft grey ink. I adhered the coloured eggs with dimensional pads and added lots of sparkle with a shimmer brush. I finished the front with a simple scripty greeting from Lawn Fawn’s Celebration Scripty Sentiments. I have cut the sentiment in half so that I can stamp the words separately.

The inside is blank, but I did add a cute bunny painting an Easter egg. I had quite a few pieces left over from the first card, so I made one more card. This one is ultra clean and simple:

I cut a strip of black card 1” wide, stamped the scripty sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed with white powder. I layered the strip onto peach card and adhered it to the front of an A2 card. I finished the front with the little bunny holding a peach Easter egg.

Inside, I cut a mat layer of peach card. On the white panel I created the greeting using the sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s Simply Celebrate stamp set and added the word ‘Easter’ from Easter Before ‘n’ Afters. I adhered the panel into the card and added the basket with bunny and Easter eggs.

I had lots of fun making the first card and creating the scene. I might make another, but not soon! That’s all from me today. Keep safe and well. See you next week.
