HAPPY HAPPY Birthday!
Happy Thursday!
I do hope everyone is well and hanging in there. I thought I would bring some HAPPY to the blog today (not that there isn't happy here every day) using Avery Elle Big Birthday stamp set.
I was drawn to this set firstly because of the large sentiment size, but also how the happy sentiment has 3 different font thicknesses. So fun, especially when you stamp in an ombre effect!
And this was the starting point for my card today. I chose 3 Altenew ink colours from the Sweet Dreams collection, Teal Cave, Aqualicious and Dew Drops. To stamp the ombre HAPPY background I started with the darkest colour and at the bottom of my card.
I also decided to break up the background by stamping the BIRTHDAY sentiment from Hero Arts Wonderful Stamp & Cut set, to create interest and a fun pattern.
With being gifted some money at Christmas, I treated myself to some new goodies and bought a few Christmas themed stamp sets I had been eyeing up! One of them being the Reverse Confetti Yuletide Mice.
Apart from this set being super cute for Christmas cards, I noticed that the mouse hiding behind the stack of gifts didn't have any noticable reference to Christmas. Perfect for using all year round for birthday and celebratory cards. Exactly what I have done with the card I am sharing today.
A fairly quick and CAS make, BUT with all the cuteness of that mouse! That's all from me this week, thank you for stopping by today.
