It's Your Day!
Sometimes simple is all you need and even though my cards were quite generic last week, this one is definitely an all rounder in your card stash....
I've used the Retro Petals Turnabout stencil to make the background using five different shades of ink. It's a really easy set to work with that you can use without the jig and makes a lovely pattern that doesnt resemble anything floral at all. I scattered a few dark dots across the background which were left over from using the MFT pegboard cover die on another project.... always worth keeping those extra bits!!
The sentiment is made using coordinating coloured card and the Yay dies. I ran the circle and sentiment die through my bigshot on the same pass and then cut a second circle of lime card to layer underneath it, the little black star just ties in the black dots to the design.
I love how it turned out and using my favourite colour combo too
