Kanga-riffic Car Critters

Kanga-riffic Car Critters

Hi There, Terri here! Today I am taking you on a journey to Australia with lots of cute Lawn Fawn products!!!  I love to shop my Lawn Fawn stash and create little stories/scenes on my cards. Today's story is about two bears who go on a trip to Australia for somebodies birthday, and while they are there they visit Uluru and see Kangaroos.

I started by stamping all of my chosen images onto 80lb super smooth white cardstock using Menento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad. I used the following stamp sets; Kanga-riffic Stamp SetKanga-riffic add-on Stamp SetCar Critters Stamp Set and Car Critters Road Trip Add-On Stamp Set. I coloured all of the images using alcohol markers before using the coordinating die sets to cut them out (Kanga-riffic Die SetKanga-riffic add-on Die SetCar Critters Die Set, and Car Critters Road Trip Add-On Die Set

Next I die cut my scenery. I cut the On The Road Die Set from black and yellow card. The Stitched Mountain Borders Die Set was cut from white card and ink blanded using Rusty Hinge and Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Inks. I added some brown inky splatters for added texture and then I cut the Little Farm Fence border Die  twice from white card.

I used the Large Slimline Dies to cut a large slimline rectangle which I ink blended with a mixs of Oxide inks. I added a stamped sentiment into the top left cornr of the die cut panel and then started to build the scene. I added the mountains first, as I wanted them to look furthest away. I then added the two fences across the card and placed the road in the centre.

I added the critters to the card, Placed th luggage on the roof and adhered it to the card using foam pads. I place a couple of the trees to either side fo the car, aswell as the road sign, rocks and plants. I then added a few Kangaroos, two of which are holding birthday presents. I added a butterfly to the sky and a Kookaburra to the tree before finishing with white gel pen highlights.

I had so much fun creating this card and dreaming up the story for it. Where sould hte bears go on their next vacation?
