Time to Paw-ty!!!

Time to Paw-ty!!!

Jen here today and I am using a simple sketch as inspiration to make a set of 3 cards using a single stamp set.

The great thing about sketches is you can keep them simple and follow the sketch exactly, or adapt it to fit the products you are using by flipping it or changing it from verticle to horizontal.  Here is the sketch I created to use for todays cards...

I decided to use a simple colour scheme for the set of cards so I could make them quickly and not have to think so much about finding things to match.

I started by stamping the images from the set onto white card stock and colouring them with alcohol markers.  I used a sketchy style of colouring for the pups so they were really easy and quick to colour.

After colouring them, I planned my layouts and decided to cut out two of the three images.  The set has matching dies as well so this is super easy.

I cut out the panels using a stitched die set and made some A2 card bases in matching colours.  I decided to emboss one of the panels to give it some extra interest.

I had chosen the bright colours so the cards were perfect for children or dog lovers a like.

Once I had decided on the colour ways I stamped and heat embossed the sentiments from the stamp set, before adding them to each of the cards.

For the card above I also stamped the image in black onto the panel so the lines below the ball would show without having to try and cut them out.

I think the three cards took me the same as one card normally would apart from some extra colouring time.

If you fancy joining in with the sketch and making a card using Seven Hills products make sure to tag us on social media so we can see how what you have created.

Have a lovely Saturday...
