Tis the Cheese-on

I managed to get half an hour last night to make a quick card with today's Lawn Fawn release once we'd finished adding all the stock to store late last night. I was tired but I couldn't wait to play with the cheesey mice!!!

I started with a circle and stamped the cheese tree and did some simple colouring with alcohol markers and pencils (I like to do flat colour with markers for speed, but am better with pencils for shading and detail). I did the same with the mice and radio and then die cut them to add to the stamped tree in the circle.

The sentiment is designed to be a wave, but I wanted it to go around the circle so I cut "rockin" and "around" into two so I could force the curve to go the other way - its easier than it looks and won't damage the stamp so you can still stamp it as intended too. I stamped it in Strawberry Versafine to keep the colours tonal.

I decided to give the Candy Cane Stencil a go too - using salvaged patina and candied apple and then popped the circle and extra sentiment onto tidepool card to make it stand out. It's a really easy stencil to make fun backgrounds.

What's your favourite from the new release? I think this is mine but it's a hard decision.....
