Winter Pine

I've used MFT's Winter Greenery stamp set again for todays Clean and Simple card and I have to say this one is my favourite. I used a rectangle of textured card from my stash, stamped a pine bough pattern over it, framed it with a coloured mount and an embossed rectangle....
I used my stamping platform to stamp the boughs so I could re-stamp with different shades of green and a brown for the woody stem. I then added the pine cones and coloured them with Copic markers which cover any pine needles they might overlap! I sponged the edges of the piece with Old Paper Distress ink and mounted it onto a slightly larger rectangle of green card. I wrapped a length of twine around the panel and added a small tag tied with a bow, the sentiment is from Mama Elephants Mini Merry Messages....
I used a stylus and embossing board to add a frame onto the front of the card, just a little larger than the panel.... I love the extra subtle frame. I think I may try a few more in this design with other images from the Winter Greenery stamp set.... you could easily streamline this design for multiple makes.
Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
