A Special Birthday Card

A Special Birthday Card

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Last year I made a special card for a colleague: He asked me to make a birthday card for his daughter! She had a very special wish: She wanted a voucher for a cosmetic dentistry. So I had to make a card for the special request. And you might have guessed: she had the same wish this year.

There are not a lot of stamp sets on this theme. Sometimes there are tooth fairys but I have no such stamp set. So I was lucky to find that Mama Elephant's Ella & Friends has a brush, a puddle and some drops of water. I can work with that.

I started by stamping the images with Versafine Onyx Black ink because I wanted to use watercolours. For the details and shadows I added coloured pencils. I still needed a tooth. So I drew one by myself with a little help from the internet.

I was very happy that the little bunny was a perfect fit to hold the tooth.

I die cut the frame from Mama Elephant's Framed Tags: Madison Avenue from patterned paper. Another piece of patterned paper that I found in my stash was perfect for my background.

The only thing that was missing was a sentiment. I went for a simple and basic Happy Birthday from My Favorite Things' Bitty Birthday Wishes. I stamped it and heat embossed it in white on pink cardstock and die cut a stripe using Waffle Flowers Sentiments Die.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.
