Birthday Flowers

Birthday Flowers

Morning! Sorry I missed last week – it was a busy week, and I ran out of time to make a card. However, I’m here today to share a birthday card made from Altenew, The Greetery, and Concord & 9th products. Here’s the card:

I used my stamp positioner to stamp the large flower cluster on white paper. I removed it from the positioner and coloured the image with Copic markers. I returned the image to the positioner, stamped the flower cluster again with Versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. I used the matching die to cut out the coloured image and two more from plain white card. I layered these pieces together to give the flowers dimension. On a 4½” x 6¼” white note card I used the Confetti Dot Turnabout stencil to add subtle background detail with pale grey ink. I adhered the large flower image to the front of the card and trimmed off any pieces overhanging the note card. I finished by adding a simple vertical birthday greeting in black ink.

Inside the card, I cut a piece of white card slightly smaller than the note card. I stamped a fun two-step greeting in pink and yellow, and added two more messages in black ink. I edged the card with a grey Copic marker and adhered it to the note card.

This card is on its way to Florida for my friend’s birthday at the end of December. Hopefully, she’ll get it on time – postal strikes permitting. That’s all from me today.
