Birthday Rosettes

Birthday Rosettes

Hello & Happy Thursday.

I hope you’re all well and have been enjoying this late summer sunshine, it’s certainly been welcomed here and I find it helps my creativity. Which leads me on to what I am sharing today.

My eye was drawn to the recent Altenew Brick Rosette Builder Stencil when it was released recently. I love geometrics as apart from being useful for masculine makes, they are good fun too.

Firstly I love how this is product is two stencils and they are so easy to line up. For this first card I used both stencils and the Altenew Natures Wonder ink collection. I am loving these autumnal olive greens right now.

I also love this Avery Elle Happy Birthday die. It’s a wonderful font and also a good focal point size for cards. Here I have die cut it from olive green and black card, slightly offsetting them and adhering using foam adhesive so they stand out from the background. But not so much it looks out of place!

I kept the colours and products the same for my second card today, but this time I used just the smaller circle stencil. I inked each ring with a different colour from the Natures Wonder collection, using light colours first.

I then rotated the stencil so that the bricks overlapped on the largest circle and inked over the top using a darker shade. This created a fun two tone solid rings. Again I layered the sentiment, switching up the colours and adhering using glue instead of foam adhesive.

This stencil is so much fun and I can see myself reaching for it again soon! That’s all from me this week.
