For todays blog post I thought I'd bring back those cute Winter Songbirds from MFT for a seasonal birthday card...

I had the idea to draw lines across a card panel for the birds to perch on so I used a scrap of paper to decide on a layout and plan where the sentiment would go. I split the sentiment from the set across two lines which are drawn in using a fine liner pen and ruler. For extra detail and colour I added a few sprigs of greenery to the lines too. The birds are stamped and coloured with Polychrome pencils before using the dies to cut them out....

I added the birds to their perches using foam dimension pads and then mounted the whole piece to a green card blank. I'm quite pleased with the arrangement... well worth the planning on scrap paper first! The birdies do look rather cosy in their hats and scarves.... the little robin is my favourite :)
