Bring on the Cake
Hi there, I have been using my crafting time again this week to search for new to me techniques and interactive card ideas to use with unused stamp sets in my collection so this week I have a pop up card to show you. The closed card looks like this...
There's achocolate cake with candles peeking through the window on the front and when you open the card ....
..... it's a huuuge choccy cake :) I've used the stamp set Top it Off by Concord & 9th to stamp out the layers using Pine Cone and Acorn Versa Clair ink on two different brown cardstock scraps. I've then used liquid pearl to decorate over the stripes and squiggles.... as you can see I'm not the best at icing a spiral!! :)
The cake is adhered in layers onto a floating base panel which I have stamped the candles onto along with the sentiment and then used smaller images in the set to decorate the inside of the card.
You can just about see how the card is constructed and the raised panel on the photo above if you search for Window pop up card on you tube you're sure to find instructions. It's good fun finding a technique or design and applying your own stash to the idea.... there are lots of great tutorial videos out there :)
